Athena Home Care Limited was established with the purpose of supporting people to maintain their independence and to live fulfilled lives in their own home.

We have a range of flexible care packages to meet the needs of our customers. All of our care packages are customised to meet the specific needs and aspirations of customers.

Our Services

Our registration with the Care Quality Commission enables us to provide certain care under the following regulated activities as defined in the Health and Social Care Act 2008 (Regulated Activities) Regulations 2014.

Care in the home

Athena Home Care Limited offer Domiciliary Care which provides personal care for people in the following service user bands:

Dementia Care

Providing peace of mind, comfort and assistance for those living with Dementia

Tailored Services

Services we provide include:

Help with washing, bathing and showering
Assistance with getting up and going to bed
Assistance with dressing and grooming
Support with using the toilet and continence care
Support with oral health care
Support to eat meals
Preparing meals and snacks
Home from hospital support
End of life care
Support with household tasks – cleaning, hoovering, laundry, ironing
Support to attend medical appointments
Companionship

Specialist Transport

Provide specialist transport, wheelchair accessible vehicles with licensed drivers and Passenger assistants with

enhanced DBS’s

Meet the Team

Director

Amir Khan

•Athena Home Care Limited is owned by Mr Amir Khan who is the Director of the company and is registered on Companies House.

•Amir also owns a specialist transport business providing services for children and adults with care and support needs. This business provides transport services for Local Authorities in Shropshire.

•Amir has an enhanced Disclosure and Barring Service (DBS) and barred list check. Amir has also completed Safeguarding and First Aid Training.

Registered Manager and Nominated Individual

Viv Hodgson-Davies

•Viv Hodgson-Davies is the Registered Manager and Nominated Individual for Athena Home Care Limited and manages the regulated activity of Personal Care.

•Viv is a qualified nurse and has management level experience in domiciliary care services.

•Viv is based at the registered office location in Telford and is employed full time at the service.

•Viv has also completed a range of training courses including Safeguarding for Managers, Health and Safety, Mental Capacity Act, Managing People, and Equality, Diversity and Inclusion.

Care Co-ordinator

Mia Owens

•Mia has over 10 years experience in the care sector including hospitals, care homes and domiciliary care.

•Mia is based at Athena House and is part of the management team.

•Amongst other courses Mia has attained a level 3 NVQ in Social Care passing with distinction.
